Job Title: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Shift: 8am -5pm (M-F)
Duration: 1 year to Long term
Hours/week: 40 Hours/week
Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. The PMHNP will provide psychiatric and medical care to patients, lead treatment planning, and ensure compliance with standards and Oregon Administrative Rules.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary medical/clinical leader of the treatment team.
- Oversee admissions, discharges, psychiatric and physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Conduct psychiatric, physical, and neurological examinations.
- Write patient care orders and lead treatment team meetings.
- Collaborate with the Unit Director to support therapeutic environment operations.
- Provide direct patient services including counseling.
- Maintain accurate medical records and prepare required correspondence.
- Participate in committees, peer review, quality assurance, and staff training.
- Maintain CPR certification and attend medical staff meetings.
