Job Type & Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time |8-hour shifts | Day shift only
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a well-established multi-specialty outpatient medical practice-serving patients across Nassau and Suffolk County. This role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric care in an outpatient environment, working collaboratively with physicians and behavioral health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
- Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health disorders
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Provide patient counseling and education regarding treatment and medications
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and behavioral health staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Active New York Nurse Practitioner License
- DEA Registration
- Minimum 3 years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience
- New graduates are not eligible
- Candidates must have no prior or pending legal or licensing restrictions
