Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Nassau County, NY

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Schedule: 8 hour day shifts (no on-call/no weekends/no hospital/nursing-home rounds)

Practice Setting: outpatient medical practice

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join an established multi-specialty outpatient medical practice in Nassau and Suffolk County, NY. This is a partnership-track opportunity offering revenue participation and long-term growth within a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.

This role is strictly outpatient with no hospital rounding, no call, and no weekend requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health disorders

  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications

  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans

  • Provide patient education and supportive counseling

  • Collaborate with physicians and behavioral health staff

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing

  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

  • Active New York State NP License & Active DEA registration

  • Minimum 3 years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience required

Compensation Structure:

  • This position is structured as a partner role with K-1 compensation (not W-2 and not 1099 independent contractor).

  • Compensation is based on approximately 30% of gross revenue generated by the physician,

  • Additional upside tied to overall practice performance

  • Long-term revenue participation model

  • This structure is designed for clinicians seeking long-term growth and partnership rather than short-term incentive models.
