Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry

Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in Psychiatry or Mental Health
- Proven experience in psychiatric or mental health settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of psychiatric medication management and safety protocols
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Nice to Have Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or other languages
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Additional certifications in behavioral health or related fields
- Prior experience working in inpatient psychiatric units
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP)
- At least 2 years of experience in Psychiatry or Mental Health care
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
Other Requirements:
- CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training is a state requirement; candidates should be aware of this obligation prior to hire
- Ability to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient safety standards
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a high-pressure environment
