Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry

Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in Psychiatry or Mental Health
  • Proven experience in psychiatric or mental health settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medication management and safety protocols
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or other languages
  • Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Additional certifications in behavioral health or related fields
  • Prior experience working in inpatient psychiatric units

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP)
  • At least 2 years of experience in Psychiatry or Mental Health care
  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

Other Requirements:
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training is a state requirement; candidates should be aware of this obligation prior to hire
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient safety standards
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a high-pressure environment
