Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Location: Bronx

Clinical Role

  • Seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

  • Remote and hybrid opportunities available

  • Schedule varies by site and patient need

  • Office hours: Monday–Friday

  • Must be available to work 25+ hours per week

  • On-site requirement: one day per week

  • Spanish-speaking required due to patient population

  • EMR: eClinicalWorks

  • H1B visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols

  • Deliver psychiatric care, education, counseling, and emotional support to patients

  • Prescribe medications and manage pharmacologic treatment in alignment with best practices

  • Order, interpret, and explain laboratory and diagnostic test results

  • Educate patients on medications, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, counselors, and technical personnel

  • Coordinate referrals for inpatient care when clinically indicated

  • Conduct follow-up communication and continuity-of-care activities

  • Provide limited primary medical care services as appropriate within scope of practice

  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis from an accredited program

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in New York State

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience

  • Enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid

  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to care

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive full-time salary: $135,000–$145,000 annually
