Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

The Company: For over 60 years, our client has provided comprehensive behavioral health and family counseling services in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington counties in the Florida Panhandle. They offer objective, professional help with personal problems ranging from family life adjustment difficulties to stress reactions, substance abuse and mental illness..

The Position: The APRN will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, providing therapy, medication management, and education to patients and families. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality psychiatric care.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $130,000 - $140,000+ depending on experience

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing with clinical specialty as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Florida APRN License
  • ANCC Psychiatric Certification across the lifespan (or documentation of intent to obtain within 6 months)
  • Minimum of 1 year applicable psychiatric experience preferred
  • Compliance with Florida Statutes 394.4572

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for outpatient and inpatient patients
  • Provide therapy and pharmacological management tailored to individual patient needs
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Collaborate with inpatient staff and discharge planners on treatment and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care within 24 hours of service
  • Consult with other medical and non-medical personnel on clinical issues
  • Travel between clinic or service sites as needed

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, standard business hours with occasional inpatient coverage as assigned
