We are actively seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a locum tenens opportunity at an inpatient psychiatric program in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity for a provider who enjoys collaborative inpatient care and is comfortable managing adult psychiatric patients in a hospital setting.
Position Highlights
• Inpatient psychiatry setting
• Adult patient population
• Supportive, multidisciplinary team environment
• Physician coverage on the unit
• Well-established psychiatric program
Schedule & Coverage
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Daytime hours (no call required)
• Full-time coverage preferred
• Assignment expected to start soon after credentialing
• Initial term with potential to extend based on need
Clinical Responsibilities
• Rounding on adult inpatient psychiatric patients
• Performing psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups
• Medication management
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and social work
• Documenting care within the facility EMR
Patient Volume
• Inpatient unit setting
• Reasonable daily census with team support
Requirements
• Active Massachusetts NP license
• PMHNP certification (ANCC or AANP)
• Inpatient psychiatry experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a care team
• Clean background and credentialing history
Credentialing
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 30–60 days
Compensation
• Compensation is competitive and based on background, experience, and availability
• Travel and lodging support may be available, if applicable
