Remote Locum Tenens Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – California Licensed

Unique 100% REMOTE locum tenens opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner seeking maximum flexibility while making a meaningful impact in a rural Northern California community. This outpatient role offers telehealth psychiatric care with limited low-acuity primary care and the freedom to work from anywhere, as long as you hold an active California license.

Position Highlights:

  • 100% remote telehealth option (hybrid or onsite available if desired)

  • Client located in Northwestern California, near Lake Tahoe and Reno

  • Flexible schedule starting at 1–2 days per week with ability to grow to full-time

  • Ongoing coverage needed – start ASAP

  • Outpatient setting only

Clinical Scope:

  • Adult psychiatry with some children and adolescents

  • Limited low-acuity family medicine

  • 1-hour initial psychiatric evaluations

  • 20-minute follow-up visits

Candidate Requirements:

  • Active California NP license

  • FNP/PMHNP dual certification required

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $100/hour W-2

  • Malpractice coverage included

  • Health, dental, and 401(k) benefits available
