About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide integrated outpatient psychiatric and primary care services under the direction of the Medical Director. This position plays a key clinical role within our CCBHC care model, serving patients in both local and rural frontier communities.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain a minimum of 1000 hours of direct service time annually
Willingness to travel regionally and serve rural frontier areas as needed
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and related psychiatric office services
Offer clinical guidance and collaboration with nursing and clerical support teams
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation:
- Medication management notes: by 9:00 AM the day after service
- Psych evaluations: within 5 business days
Maintain collaborative, client-centered service and documentation processes
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide integrated outpatient psychiatric and primary care services to patients under the direction of the Medical Director and consistent with all agency policies and procedures.
Qualification:
Current psychiatric medical license or mid-level psychiatric professional license valid in the state of Kansas
Dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, and ability to meet agency liability requirements (as applicable)
Ability to communicate positively and effectively with staff, clients, and community partners
Basic proficiency in mathematics
Effective use of standard office technology and electronic medical record systems
