Our client is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their community health center in New York City. The Psychiatric NP will provide comprehensive mental health care under the supervision of the Medical Director or a designated physician, while also overseeing the Nurse Care Coordinator.

Job Description:


Compensation : $145000 - $150000 Job ID : 40855

Job Function:

  • Conducts comprehensive history and physical examinations.
  • Manages primary medical care for adults, addressing both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Buprenorphine therapy.
  • Assesses patient conditions, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate interventions.
  • Documents clinical information in electronic health records.
  • Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Performs direct patient care procedures.
  • Participates in developing care standards and quality assurance programs.
  • Coordinates medical consultations and patient transfers.
  • Provides emergency medical care and advocates for patients.
  • Educates patients on health promotion and disease prevention.

Job Requirements:

  • New York State licensure and registration as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • 1 year of Experience in Primary Care, HIV/AIDS management, harm reduction, and Buprenorphine treatment.
  • Certification in Nursing practice or expertise in HIV/AIDS medicine.
  • Preferred experience with electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
  • Current DEA registration, CPR certification, and Infection Control certification.
  • Maintenance of required CMEs/CEUs.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications

New York State licensure and registration as a Nurse Practitioner.
1 year of Experience in Primary Care, HIV/AIDS management, harm reduction, and Buprenorphine treatment.
