Our client is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their community health center in New York City. The Psychiatric NP will provide comprehensive mental health care under the supervision of the Medical Director or a designated physician, while also overseeing the Nurse Care Coordinator.

Job Function:
- Conducts comprehensive history and physical examinations.
- Manages primary medical care for adults, addressing both acute and chronic conditions.
- Provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Buprenorphine therapy.
- Assesses patient conditions, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate interventions.
- Documents clinical information in electronic health records.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Performs direct patient care procedures.
- Participates in developing care standards and quality assurance programs.
- Coordinates medical consultations and patient transfers.
- Provides emergency medical care and advocates for patients.
- Educates patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
Job Requirements:
- New York State licensure and registration as a Nurse Practitioner.
- 1 year of Experience in Primary Care, HIV/AIDS management, harm reduction, and Buprenorphine treatment.
- Certification in Nursing practice or expertise in HIV/AIDS medicine.
- Preferred experience with electronic health records.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
- Current DEA registration, CPR certification, and Infection Control certification.
- Maintenance of required CMEs/CEUs.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications
