Job description Adelphi is seeking experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to provide comprehensive psychiatric services to adult offenders in the custody of a correctional facility in North Carolina. Positions are available for both telepsychiatry and on-site coverage at select male and female correctional facilities. Providers will work as part of an interdisciplinary team delivering care in accordance with established policies, community standards of practice, and correctional mental health guidelines.

1 part-time (24hr per week, 3 days per week, 8 hours per day) tele psych positions.
2 part-time (24hr per week, 3 days, 8 hours per day) in person positions.
Requirements:
• Unrestricted North Carolina NP license with PMHNP certification.
• BLS certification
• DEA certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum of one year post-licensure clinical experience in psychiatric or correctional settings preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (HERO preferred) and ability to function in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, and crisis interventions for incarcerated adults.
• Diagnose mental illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with the facility's formulary.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify plans as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation using the HERO electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians, correctional nurses, psychologists, and other clinical personnel.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and attend scheduled team meetings.
• Comply with all DAC regulations, HIPAA requirements, and PREA standards.
• Support continuity of care and appropriate referrals for higher levels of psychiatric treatment as needed.
