Physician Services Group (PSG) is currently hiring a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or equivalent) to provide behavioral health services in Post-Acute Care Facilities across South Carolina. This includes Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Rehab environments. The NP will collaborate closely with our attending physicians, medical directors, and on-staff psychiatrist to manage both short-term psychiatric needs and long-term mental health care plans for residents.
Job Responsibilities
Start, manage, and adjust psychiatric medications under SC Nurse Practice Act and collaborative agreement
Deliver care across new admissions, follow-ups, and long-term residents within Post-Acute Care Facilities
Serve as the first-line psychiatric provider on-site, representing PSG professionally
Collaborate with medical assistants, primary care teams, and specialists
Communicate regularly with families regarding patient status and treatment updates
Support and manage compliance with antipsychotic protocols and Gradual Dose Reduction (GDR) documentation
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation, including daily E/M billing
Participate in care planning, coordination, and PSG quality initiatives
Qualifications
Certified PMHNP or NP with psychiatric experience (ANCC or AANP)
Active South Carolina NP license (or eligibility to obtain)
Current CME requirements met
Experience in behavioral health or psychiatry preferred
Proficiency in EMR and clinical documentation
Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment
