Position Overview: As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating the mental health needs of our geriatric patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate diagnoses
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
- Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to enhance patient care coordination
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in psychiatric or geriatric care as a Nurse Practitioner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
