Job description
We are currently looking for a podiatry/Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our private practice in Farmington, CT!

- Focused Scope of Practice: The patient population is infant to geriatrics. Common pathologies include biopsies for cancer, infections, ingrown toenails, and skin lesions. The practice has an in-office X-ray for foot and ankle trauma.
- Ideal Schedule and Manageable Volume: This is a full-time (3240 hours/week) position with no call required, and the expected patient volume is a manageable 20 PPD once ramped up, with 30/15 minute new/established patient appointment slots.
- Procedural Opportunities: Expected to perform basic procedural skills, including basic Incision and Drainage (I&D) and post-operative dressing changes.
- Support Staff: Work with a 1:1 Medical Assistant (MA). Support staff includes:
- MAs: Room patients, perform medication reconciliation, set up rooms for procedures, conduct X-rays, gate analysis, and shoe fittings.
- Front Desk: Handles check-in/out, referrals, and outpatient radiology scheduling.
- Affiliations and Future Growth: Affiliated with St. Francis Hospital (full privileges) and operates at an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Bloomfield, CT.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of post graduate experience preferred, new graduates are welcome to apply
- Spanish-Speaking is a plus, but not required
- Board certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP)
- Active Connecticut license or ability to obtain
- Must love building relationships with patients, value bedside manner, and possess excellent clinical skills.
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
