We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional pediatric care at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This vital role offers an opportunity to serve a diverse patient population in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of our team, you will deliver comprehensive pediatric services, ensuring the health and well-being of our young patients while working within the framework of strict California laws and federal guidelines.

Required Skills:
  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program recognized by ACEN or CCNE
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with valid certification cards
  • Proven clinical competency in pediatrics, meeting service-specific credentialing requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience working in pediatric healthcare settings
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations
  • Bilingual abilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with specialized training in pediatrics
  • Prior experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, ideally within a federal or military healthcare setting

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work 8-hour day shifts, five days a week
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licensure and certifications
  • No travel required for this position

Compensation:
  • Hourly pay rate of $74.00, with a blended rate of $77.00 including holiday pay
  • Additional benefits valued at $5.09/hour towards health and wellness
  • Paid federal holidays, sick leave, and vacation time
