VieMed Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position supporting the Pediatric Clinic in Anchorage, Alaska.

Position: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
  • 9-hour shift between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (1?hour lunch)
  • No call, no weekends, no holidays

We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care services in a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) pediatric clinic. The NP will manage routine, acute, and chronic conditions, promote preventive care, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a full range of outcome-based pediatric primary care services in accordance with granted privileges (exams, routine/acute/chronic care, minor trauma, immunizations).
  • Diagnose, treat, and counsel pediatric patients and families using evidence-based guidelines and accepted clinical practice standards.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance, including well-child visits, annual exams, positive health behaviors, and self?care through individual and group education.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care and education.
  • Recognize conditions requiring isolation and consistently apply universal precautions.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, in?service training, and quality/safety initiatives.
  • Provide clinical teaching and occasional educational lectures for staff as needed.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner within the last 3 years. Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
  • Current, full, active, unrestricted NP license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • National certification (ANCC or AANP, as applicable).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.
  • Ability to pass a Government background check and obtain required security clearance.
