- Role: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care (PNP-AC)
- Subspecialty Experience: Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care only
- Board Certified: Required
- Active Louisiana License or Compact License: Required
- Certifications: BLS and PALS required
Day Shifts – Pediatric CVICU
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM (includes handoff)
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM (includes handoff)
- Shift Blocks: 4–7 consecutive shifts
- Responsibilities:
- Work directly with Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist
- New admissions
- Multidisciplinary rounding
- Frontline calls
- Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM (includes handoff)
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM (includes handoff)
- Maximum Consecutive Shifts: 4
- Responsibilities:
- Work with Pediatric or Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist
- New admissions and frontline calls
- Possible coverage of cardiology patients on pediatric acute floor (typically 2–5 patients)
- Patients Per Shift: Up to 16
- Admissions: Required
- Rounding: Assigned and unassigned patients
- Call: No call
