Job description

Job description

St Vincent Medical Center is searching for Pediatric Hospitalist. They have found someone to cover the 11/27 date so that is no longer a requirement. They are now looking for someone to fill in multiple times per month or would even take a more long term full time provider. Facility wants to concentrate on physician candidates now. No APPs at this time.

This is for healthy newborn coverage, some very rare and minor Pediatric E.R. consults, delivery room coverage, and in house coverage of NICU patients at night with NEONATOLOGY backup. They also admit patients to the NICU overnight with certain limitations. Need to be certified in NRP Neonatal Resuscitation, attend deliveries. There are no required procedures. 24 hr shifts. 5p - 5p

CT license or IMLC required.

Additional Info

ADC is quite variable. Estimate 5 to 10.

There is always a neonatologist on call who will come in to support as needed overnight. There is always a neonatologist on site during daytime hours 7 days a week.

The 24 hour call is inhouse when the neonatologist is not on site. Realistically a 24 hour shift is 5P to 10A on site and the remaining 7 hours can be from home.

There is a call room. It is close to the NICU.

We do about 1200 to 1500 deliveries per year. About 100 to 120 per month or 3 to 4 per day. They attend csections and high risk deliveries not all deliveries.

The well baby nursery is virtual. There is not a physical location rather babies stay in rooms with parent or parents. NICU has 10 beds.
