Job description

Job description We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 8, 2025. This opportunity offers a Monday-Friday schedule with 8am-5pm shifts, serving a patient population that is predominantly pediatric and Spanish-speaking, supported by translators and bilingual medical assistants.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide primary care services to pediatric patients in a community health setting
  • Deliver care to a diverse patient base, with approximately 75% Spanish-speaking patients (interpreters and bilingual MAs available)
  • Manage a high percentage of Medical/Medicaid patients
  • Collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Utilize active California DEA and furnishing license for prescribing needs
  • Adhere to organizational protocols and documentation standards

Additional Information
  • Locum experience required
  • Experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS preferred
  • Recent experience in a pediatric setting is mandatory
  • Must possess current California licensure, DEA, and furnishing license
  • Board certifications required: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (PPCNP-BC)
  • Assignment dates may be dependent on approved time off and Regional Medical Director approval
