Tule River Indian Health Center, Inc. (TRIHCI) is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide compassionate, culturally competent care to infants, children, and adolescents in the Native American and underserved communities of Porterville, CA.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Conduct pediatric assessments, exams, and screenings

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions

Prescribe medications, immunizations, and treatments

Educate families on health, development, and wellness

Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health, and community staff

Document care in EHR and ensure IHS compliance

Coordinate referrals and follow-up care

Participate in quality improvement initiatives
🎓 Qualifications
-
Master’s or Doctoral degree from accredited PNP program
-
Certified PNP (PNCB or ANCC)
-
Active CA NP license with furnishing number
-
DEA registration (Schedule II–V)
-
BLS certification (PALS preferred)
-
5+ years pediatric experience preferred

Experience with Native American or underserved populations a plus
📋 Additional Requirements

Valid CA Driver’s License

First Aid/CPR certification (or obtain within 3 months)

Must pass background check, drug test, physical, and eligibility verification
