Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive medical care in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
- Manage complex cardiac cases in a post-operative setting
- Perform critical procedures such as arterial and central venous catheter placements, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and needle thoracentesis
- Monitor patient progress and respond to medical emergencies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care
- Document all patient interactions and treatments in the Epic EMR system
Additional Information
- Required Board Certifications: Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas
