Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in South Texas for a 3-6 month contract to start!

The candidate would cross cover various ICU's, the Pediatric MICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU and PIMCU, cross coverage model.
Full Time Locums! The candidate would be working 12 hour shifts 3-4 per week, variable schedule days and nights! Would consider 24 hour shifts as well.

SCHEDULE
  • 24/7 coverage model (day, evening, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Flexible scheduling, required.
  • Cross-coverage: Pediatric Critical Care and Intermediate Care Unit, required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE (APRN)
  • Master’s or Post Master’s Degree, Required.
  • Graduation from a Nurse Practitioners Program with practice authority in the State of Texas, Required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric acute care experience, required.
  • BLS, PALS and ACLS required.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems, preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish), preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA-C)
  • Master’s or Post Master’s Degree, Required.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved program (prior to January 2001 - Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs), required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric acute care experience, required.
  • BLS, PALS and ACLS required.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems, preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish), preferred.
