Join the nationally recognized cardiac surgery team and provide advanced, patient-first care in a high-acuity cardiovascular setting. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity (no locums or locums-to-perm).
🫀 Role Overview
As a Nurse Practitioner on the Cardiac Surgery team, you will:

Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients

Assist in cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting
-
Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patients (CVICU, floor, and clinic)
-
Participate in two full clinic days weekly, with additional clinic coverage as needed
-
Rotate through OR coverage Monday–Friday

Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams
-
Order and interpret labs/diagnostics

Develop and implement comprehensive care plans

Prescribe medications in compliance with regulatory standards

Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population

Deliver timely, high-quality documentation

Function independently under physician supervision

$100,588 – $143,769 annual salary (based on experience)

✅ Required Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited NP program (Master’s in Nursing required)
-
NP Certification through ANCC or AANPCB
-
Minimum 3+ years cardiac or cardiovascular surgery experience, including:
-
ICU patient management OR
-
Endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting experience

Active Colorado license (or eligible)

Unrestricted DEA license
-
Full prescriptive authority
-
Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate privileges

BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)

Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement

No HHS/OIG or GSA exclusions

Current COVID vaccination
