AdventHealth Medical Group-Central Florida Division is seeking a Chief APP Officer in Orlando, FL. The Chief APP Officer is a senior clinical leader responsible for the strategic vision, integration, governance and advancement of all APPs within the medical group. The CAPPO will serve as the executive advocate for APPs and will drive excellence in quality, education, workforce engagement and optimal utilization of APPs in delivering whole-person care while upholding the AdventHealth mission.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a strategic vision for APP utilization and integration across service lines, aligned with AHMG’s mission and organizational goals.
• Serve as the voice of APPs at the executive table, ensuring alignment with medical group priorities.
• Design policies that support expanded APP practice and innovative care models.
• Champion the AdventHealth Mission, Purpose & Vision and Values in all aspects of APP Leadership, Clinical Practice and Education.
Clinical Oversight:
• Collaborate with Quality, Risk and Compliance to monitor Performance Metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with service line and physician leaders to support team-based care.
• Support credentialing, privileging, and scope of practice alignment across regions.
Workforce & Operational Management:
• Lead recruitment, retention, and onboarding strategies.
• Build a standardized APP leadership structure with clinical leads per specialty.
• Drive productivity benchmarks, access targets, and utilization models.
APP Experience & Development:
• Create and maintain APP career ladders, compensation models, and mentorship programs.
• Organize APP leadership development programs and annual APP forums.
• Champion a culture of recognition, engagement, and well-being.
Quality & Innovation:
• Collaborate with quality and safety teams to integrate APPs in system goals.
• Leverage digital health, AI, and data analytics to enhance APP contributions.
• Represent APPs in strategic planning, population health, and research initiatives.
Qualifications
• Doctorate preferred (DNP, DMSc, or equivalent); Master’s required.
• 10+ years of clinical practice; 5+ years in leadership in a multi-site or matrixed system setting.
• Proven track record of APP program development, change leadership, and C-Suite executive collaboration.
