- Start Date: 2/16/2026 (ASAP/ASAC acceptable)
- Commitment: Full-time required
- Shifts:
- 4x10s OR 5x8s
- Work Week: Sunday – Saturday
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- On-Call:
- 1–2 nights per week
- Every 3rd weekend
- Possible 24-hour call, holidays, nights
- Primary orthopedic call for:
- Emergency Department
- Inpatient units
- Shared call with employed & non-employed NPs/PAs
- May rotate for:
- Nights
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Board Certified NP – REQUIRED
- Oregon NP or PA License – REQUIRED
- Eligible for:
- Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional privileges
- EPIC Training:
- 4 hours unpaid
- Testing out option: 2 hours
- Collaborates with orthopedic attending physician
- Manages inpatient & ED orthopedic patients
- Daily rounding, care plans, documentation in EMR
- Participates in multidisciplinary rounds, quality & safety initiatives
Diagnostics
- EMG, EKG
- Compartment pressure measurements
- X-ray, CT, MRI, bone scans
- Digital blocks & regional anesthesia
- Tendon repair, wound closure & debridement
- I&D, needle biopsy
- Percutaneous pinning, K-wire & hardware removal
- Joint & bursa aspirations
- Closed reductions (fractures/dislocations)
- Injections (joints, tendons, trigger points)
- Cast, brace & splint applications
- First assist
- Deep & superficial tissue closures
- OR support as delegated by surgeon
- Strong EPIC EMR proficiency
- Independent clinical decision-making
- Performs well in high-stress & emergent situations
- Discharge summaries, H&Ps, treatment planning
