• Job Title: Orthopedic Surgery - Nurse Practitioner
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Boise, ID
• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Coverage Period: 03/02/2026 – Ongoing (approximately 9 weeks)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Day shifts, approximately 7:00a – 6:00p
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Limited evening call on select dates

• Credentialing Timeline: Expedited for licensed providers
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Call Rates: Separate call back and night call rates apply
• Orientation: All hours billable
• Malpractice Insurance: Covered
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Orthopedic inpatient rounding
• Fracture and trauma management support
• Postoperative care coordination
• OR assistance as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Idaho NP license required; compact licensure acceptable
• Board: Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Certifications: As required by facility
• Experience: Orthopedic surgery and inpatient rounding experience required
• Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable with charting and rounding independently in Epic
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide orthopedic surgery coverage in the operating room and inpatient setting
• Round on orthopedic and trauma patients and manage postoperative care
• Participate in limited evening call coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, nursing staff, and care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic EMR system
