Job description Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve as the Care Services Clinical Manager supporting a multi-physician orthopedic practice. This hybrid role blends direct patient care with clinic operations leadership to ensure smooth, efficient, and patient-centered service delivery.

This is an ideal position for an advanced practice provider who thrives in a fast-paced clinic environment and enjoys having a high level of responsibility in both clinical and administrative domains.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

Oversee daily operations of the clinic, ensuring timely patient flow and staff coordination.

Act as liaison between surgeons, clinic staff, hospital systems, and external vendors.

Lead quality improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, and policy implementation.

Coordinate surgical scheduling, pre-op clearances, imaging protocols, and insurance authorizations.

Manage patient communications and triage follow-up needs.

Train and mentor clinical support staff, including MAs, Surgery Schedulers, and administrative personnel.

Monitor clinic metrics (e.g., visit volume, wait times, documentation lag) and generate reports for leadership.

Partner with leadership to support implementation of new programs, workflows, or initiatives at the clinic level

Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state/federal healthcare regulations.

Represent the clinic in cross-functional meetings and operational strategy sessions.

Clinical

Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and assessments for spine and foot/ankle conditions.

Order and interpret diagnostic studies including X-rays, MRIs, CTs, and labs.

Develop and implement non-surgical treatment plans, including bracing, PT, and medications.

Perform or assist with in clinic procedures such as joint injections, cast/splint applications, and wound care.

Provide pre- and post-op counseling, suture/staple removal, and recovery management.

Document all patient interactions in the EMR system.

Communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and families.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with California NP license & furnishing number

National certification (AANP, ANCC).

BLS and ACLS certification, preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in orthopedics, preferably including spine, sports, joints, or foot/ankle..

Experience in clinical management, practice operations, or leadership preferred.
