Practice Setting
Environment: Inpatient, Emergency Department, and OR
Responsibilities:

Rounding on post-op patients
-
ED and inpatient consults
-
First assist in orthopedic/trauma surgeries
Visit Types: Consults, post-ops, procedures (10–30 min appointments)
Daily Census: Primarily consults (hospital avg. ~160 patients/day)
Telehealth: Not applicable
Teaching: Yes – IM/FM residents, PA students

3 cast techs for 7 providers

3 receptionists, 2 schedulers for 7 providers

Joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder)

Hand, wrist, hip, ankle, shoulder, and foot surgeries

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $124.00/hour
Overtime Rate: $186.00/hour

Candidate Requirements
Board Certified or Eligible – Required
Active Iowa License or IMLC – Required
Clean Malpractice History – Required
