Experienced Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner needed for an urgent, short-term locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. Starting 05/28/2025, this 8-day position requires coverage from 9:30am to 2:00pm for two separate periods: May 28-30 and June 2-6. The NP will primarily handle workmen's compensation cases, accident-related injuries, and sports-related injuries, with some primary care responsibilities for conditions like colds, coughs, and flu. Duties include patient assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in eClinicalWorks EHR is required. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assess and treat patients with workmen's compensation injuries
• Manage accident-related and sports-related injuries
• Provide primary care for common illnesses (colds, coughs, flu)
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using eClinicalWorks
• Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as needed
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice
• Educate patients on injury prevention and recovery strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and policies
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania
• Experience in orthopedics and occupational health preferred
• Proficiency in eClinicalWorks EHR required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
