A Free-Standing Cancer Center in Greenville, South Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Oncology Nurse Practitioner to provide additional clinical coverage through the end of September. This is a great opportunity to work alongside a strong oncology team in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

🩺 Position: Nurse Practitioner – Oncology
📍 Location: Greenville, South Carolina
🏥 Practice Setting: Free-Standing Cancer Center

• Work in a dedicated Cancer Center serving adult and geriatric patients
• Manage both benign hematology (65%) and malignant oncology (35%) cases
• Join a collaborative team with 8 physicians and 4 APPs
• Provide care in both outpatient oncology and inpatient rounding settings
• Opportunity to manage bone marrow transplant patients and oncology care plans
• Utilize Epic EMR for integrated documentation and patient management
• Work with experienced oncology nurses who administer chemotherapy

📅 Schedule & Coverage

Start Date: ASAP through end of September
Average Outpatient Patients: 15 per day
Average Hospital Patients (call/rounding): 20 per day
Call Schedule:
• Tuesday 4:30 PM – Wednesday 8:00 AM (phone call coverage)
• Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM (weekend call coverage)
Weekend Duties: On-site inpatient rounding Saturday and Sunday
Call Ratio: Approximately 1 rotation every 5–6 weeks

💻 EMR: Epic
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage oncology and hematology patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans
• Participate in management of bone marrow transplant patients
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and oncology specialists

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology – REQUIRED
Active South Carolina License – REQUIRED (or willingness to obtain)
BLS Certification – REQUIRED
DEA License – REQUIRED
NPDB Self-Query Report required at submission (within 30 days)
