Nurse Practitioner (Oncology)- Salem, OR

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Schedule options:

4 days per week (4/10s)

5 days per week (5/8s)

Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Oncology

Bonus: $10,000 sign-on (Over first pay check)

$5,000 (Retention bonus after 1 year)

Relocation Assistant upto $8,000 (for out of state Providers)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a collaborative oncology care team. The APP will provide direct patient care under physician supervision, including evaluating new patients, managing individuals undergoing treatment, and monitoring patients after treatment completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Conduct patient interviews, physical examinations, and review medical histories.

• Identify patient care issues and assist physicians in treatment planning.

• Provide recommendations regarding treatment options and care plans.

• Implement physician directives and treatment plans.

• Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and care plans.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.

• Prescribe medications and manage refills.

• Conduct chemotherapy education and consent visits.

• Perform survivorship visits and toxicity assessments.

Qualifications:

• National certification as ANP, FNP, GNP, or PA-C

• Ability to obtain or maintain an Oregon State APRN or PA license

• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience preferred

Preferred:

• Oncology experience as an APP

• Oncology nursing experience for new APP candidates

• DEA license
