A leading regional medical center on the Southern Oregon Coast is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its collaborative and growing Oncology service line in Coos Bay, OR.

This 127-bed Level III Trauma Center serves a catchment area of more than 320,000 residents and features a comprehensive Cancer Center offering medical oncology, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, clinical trials, nurse navigation, and supportive oncology services. The center includes a modern 19-chair infusion suite, in-house pharmacy, radiation oncology, and lab services conveniently located within the facility.

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring residency within the immediate local area (relocation may be required). Locum-to-perm candidates will be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient oncology care with occasional inpatient consults
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage oncology patients across the continuum of care
• Perform procedures and clinical tasks consistent with NP/PA training and licensure
• Collaborate closely with oncologists and interdisciplinary cancer care teams
• Participate in shared call rotation
• Document care thoroughly and accurately in EPIC
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
• Communicate effectively with referring physicians and care teams

Qualifications

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Required
• AONCP certification (or in process) – Required for NP candidates
• Oncology subspecialty training – Preferred for PA candidates
• Oregon license (or willingness to obtain) – Required
• Oncology experience in inpatient and/or outpatient setting – Preferred
• Clean malpractice history/background – Required
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required at presentation
• Ability to reside locally in the Coos Bay area – Required

Working Hours

• Full-time
• Day shift
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• No nights
• No weekends
• Shared paid call rotation
