JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – Oncology
• Job Type: Contract
• Location: Pagosa Springs, CO
• Service Setting: Outpatient Infusion and Oncology Clinic
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: February 16, 2026 – Approximately 13 weeks
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Day shifts, 10-hour shifts, Monday – Thursday and one Friday per month

• February 16, 2026 – Approximately May 2026
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adult Oncology patients
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Oncology and Infusion patients
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 0–49
• EMR System: Cerner
• Office Equipment Available: Standard oncology and infusion clinic equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Oncology physicians
• Support Staff Available: Clinic and infusion nursing staff
• Reason for Coverage: Contract coverage
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not covered
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Oncology patient evaluation and management
• Infusion patient management
• Ordering and interpretation of laboratory and imaging studies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner license
• Board: ANCC or AANP certification
• DEA: Active DEA required
• Certifications: AOCNP certification required
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years Oncology subspecialty experience
• Other Qualifications: Experience with Cerner EMR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage Oncology and Infusion patients including examination, treatment, follow-up, and referral
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies
• Provide consultations and coordinate care plans for Oncology patients
• Participate in patient satisfaction programs and quality improvement initiatives
• Support organizational and departmental goals to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
