Position Overview

One of our Partners in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support its Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgical Oncology program. The provider will assist in the management of complex surgical oncology patients across the inpatient continuum, collaborating with attending surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

This role features a Monday–Friday day schedule, no call, no weekends, and a highly competitive pay structure.

Pay Ranking: Top 8% of 2025 national market rates for Surgical Oncology Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.


Estimated Total Assignment Earnings $50K+

Assignment Highlights

  • Coverage Dates: March 9, 2026 – June 8, 2026

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Shift Length: 8-hour days (40 hours/week)

  • No Call / No Weekends

  • Joint Commission–certified agency (HPA Healthcare)

  • Travel & Lodging: Prepaid by HPA Healthcare

  • Malpractice Insurance: Provided (claims-made policy)

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Surgical Oncology, General Surgery, or HPB patient management

  • Competency in post-operative management, drain/wound care, and pre-surgical coordination

  • Strong procedural knowledge and clinical judgment

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document comprehensive inpatient assessments

  • Manage pre- and post-operative care plans for HPB surgical patients

  • Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests under attending supervision

  • Assist in the OR when needed (patient prep, assistance, closure)

  • Perform wound care, drain management, and discharge planning

  • Educate patients and families on recovery, expectations, and care coordination

  • Collaborate daily with surgical and nursing teams for continuity of care
