Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Oncology

This practice specializes in Medical Oncology and covers a wide patient demographic, including adults and geriatrics. The facility features a collaborative environment with 8 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, ensuring comprehensive patient care with focus on hematology and oncology.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage bone marrow transplants and blood bank procedures
• Order tests and images as needed
• Prescribe medications and administer chemotherapy under the guidance of a nurse oncologist
• Provide first call support for patient inquiries and hospital phone calls
• Conduct inpatient rounding on weekends
• Maintain documentation using the EPIC electronic medical records system

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license
• Experience in oncology and hematology preferred
• Ability to manage a high patient volume in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work on weekends and participate in call rotations

License and Certification Requirements

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of South Carolina
• Current CPR certification
• Board certification in a relevant field is preferred
