Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage care for patients with cancer and other benign or malignant tumors and diseases
- Promote health and protection from disease in accordance with specialty and within the scope of the supervising physician
- Perform history and physical examinations, with or without pelvic exam
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing and therapeutic modalities as appropriate to training and specialty
- Administer and prescribe chemotherapy/biotherapy (with demonstration of recent competence)
- Implement therapeutic interventions for specified conditions
- Conduct arterial puncture and blood gas sampling
- Provide debridement and general care for superficial wounds and minor superficial surgical procedures
- Perform incision and drainage of superficial abscesses
- Insert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubes
- Complete death certificate protocols
- Remove central venous catheters
Additional Information
- Active New York license required
- Required board certifications: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC), Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC), or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
- Required certifications: Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Demonstrated current competence in administering at least 10 chemotherapy/biotherapy treatments within the past 12 months
- Orientation begins Jan 2, 2026; clinical work commences Jan 5, 2026
