VHS is looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner - Oncology.

- Description: LOCUM- Surgical/General Oncology APP Job Details: We are looking for a provider to cover 5 days a week coverage in both the clinic and doing inpatient rounding. Typical work hours are going to be 8am-5pm but we can be flexible with providers working 7am-4pm. January 1 start date listed but could start sooner (12/15) if privileging can be done quickly. Provider will not work any nights, weekends or call. They will be required to take a one hour lunch unpaid. APP will help in clinic on Tuesdays and Friday's mainly. They will help with inpatient rounding everyday and consults in the ER PRN. Provider will also be expected to help with in-basket, patient calls, and results throughout the week. Manage patient calls, issues, and post op patients and concerns. There will be another APP that helps mainly in the OR. GI Cancer Surgery is the main specialty being covered so if the provider has experience that would be helpful. Very busy surgical-oncology/general surgery practice located in a 1206D clinic in the hospital. PREFERNECES/REQUIREMENTS: - ACLS is preferred but not required - Must have at least 25 case logs in the last two years. -Provider must be able to work independently and have enough experience to operate on their own as the physician on staff is generally really busy so can not be as hands on to help. - Preferred that they are local but not required. -Required they are proficient in EPIC PRIVILEGING: - Must be able to turn in documentation quickly. Please set the expectation that the application should be turned in within 5 days of being received. 30-60 days is the estimated timeline to get a provider through.
- 1099 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rates (W-2 Pay Packages available upon request)
- Certification Requirements: Please confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application.
