Job Title: Permanent NP/PA - Oncology in Coos Bay, OR

Join a leading healthcare facility on the stunning Southern Coast of Oregon! This 127-bed Level III Trauma hospital is the largest in the area, serving a community of over 320,000. You will be part of a collaborative and growing Oncology service line, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full-time position with a day shift schedule, four ten-hour shifts; no nights or weekends.
  • Shared paid call responsibilities among providers.
  • Primary focus on outpatient care with occasional inpatient consults.
  • Work within the Bay Area Hospital Cancer Center, affiliated with Oregon Health & Sciences University.
  • Engage in a comprehensive range of services including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, medical oncology, cancer support services, and clinical trials.
  • Utilize the new 19-chair infusion room with in-house pharmacy, radiation oncology, and lab services.
  • Collaborate with a high caliber nurse infusion team and other healthcare professionals.
  • Function as a member of the clinical patient care team, executing tasks aligned with advanced practice provider licensure.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified NP or PA.
  • AONCP certification (or in process) for NP candidates.
  • Oregon medical license or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in Oncology care (inpatient and/or outpatient preferred).
  • Clean malpractice history/background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with software interfaces, ideally EPIC.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under stress and adapt to changing environments.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Current Oregon license (or willingness to obtain).
  • AONCP certification (required for NP candidates).
  • Most recent NPDB self-query report (within 30 days of active).
  • Full presentation uploaded into the appropriate system.
