SCHEDULE :

M-F, 8 am-5 pm
On Call Requirements:
Rotation 1 in 3 or 4 for 1 week at a time, includes nightly call and weekend call. Primarily critical lab value calls and symptomatic patients needing advice/assistance.


JOB DESCRIPTION :

-Dates of Coverage: As soon as possible, ongoing.
-Practice Setting: Outpatient follow-up solid tumor appointments primarily, with patients who are on active treatment and in survivorship. Assist infusion nursing staff with symptom management, pt. evaluation/assessment. Part of Bay Area Hospital-same campus.
-Call Ratio: 1 in 3 or 4 weeks
-Average Number of Patients Per Day: 10-12
-Documentation System/EMR: Epic, Beacon
-Trauma Level/Designation: III
-Patient Population for Required Coverage: Adult, Geriatric
Currently not taking Heme referrals, only solid tumor oncology patients.
-Number of Physicians in Practice: 2
-How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 2
-Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT: 40 for infusion, 30-40 medical oncology, 20-25 for radiation oncology, 40-50 lab draws
-Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding): Currently not rounding on inpatients, physicians do rounds on anyone they directly admit for inpatient chemo.
-Clinical Area: Oncology - Outpatient Setting
-APP will not be working autonomously
Supervising medical oncologists onsite and radiation oncologists onsite.
Medical oncology and infusion experience are required.
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 3-4 weeks


SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS :
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (before start) - REQUIRED
Oregon license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
AONCP certification (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
BLS - REQUIRED
ACLS - highly preferred
