Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a full-time advanced practitioner provider for oncology (oncology) to join our team. This is an outpatient role at our Tenaya oncology clinic working with an existing team of caregivers. As an advanced practitioner you will conduct comprehensive review of patient history, preform physical examinations, develop care plans with the team.

Practice Information Highlights:

  • Strong communication skills, demonstrate compassion with patients and their family members.
    • EMR system used is Mosaiq
    • Daily patient consensus is 14-16 with age range of 65 years or older
    • Monday- Friday 8 – 5pm is the work schedule
    • No call required
    • Must have taken advanced courses in evaluation and management of patients, pathophysiology as well as health assessments.

Requirements

  • Must have or be eligible to have a current and unrestricted Nevada Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant license
  • Must have or eligible to have a Nevada Pharmacy and DEA License
  • BLS certification
  • Background in oncology, hematology preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- and -
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- and -
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
