NP/PA Surgical Oncology Opportunity in Greenville, NC

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Surgical Oncology team. The successful candidate will work with four surgical oncologists, two colorectal surgeons, and an advanced care practitioner. Applicants with inpatient surgical or medical experience are preferred.

ECU Health Cancer Care is eastern North Carolina’s largest provider of oncology care and includes a multidisciplinary team of specialists including radiation oncologists, hematology oncologists, surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologist, neurological oncologist, hematology oncology fellows, and patient navigators.

Highlights include:

· Employment by ECU Health Physicians

· Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a level 1 trauma, 974 bed Academic Medical Center, 2nd largest in North Carolina

· Established surgical oncology program

· Inpatient clinical responsibilities will include daily rounds, coordination of inpatient care, and discharge of postoperative patients

· No overnight or weekend call

· Opportunity to work closely with academic faculty as well as with general surgical residents

· State-of-the-art equipment including a Gamma Knife, a Cyber Knife, 3 Trubeam Linear Accelerators, 3D Mammography, 3 MT MRI, Ultrasound and a full spectrum of radiology services

· Only American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer accredited Academic Comprehensive Cancer Centers in eastern North Carolina

· Participation in a 9-hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network status

· Established clinical trials program through ECU Health and ECU School of Medicine; Members Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology

· Referral network includes 29 county area with a population of 1.4 million people

· ACLS and BLS certification required
