Job description TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide occupational health services at an industrial job site clinic in Ferndale, Washington. This temporary, full-time role offers a stable weekday schedule and the opportunity to support employee health in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Position Details
Job Type: Locum, Full-Time (month-to-month with expectation of at least a 3-month initial commitment)
Facility Type: On-Site Occupational Health Clinic
Location: Ferndale, WA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible (opportunity for training with outgoing provider prior to transition)
Length of Assignment: Structured as 1-month renewable contracts, with preference for providers willing to commit to a minimum of 3 consecutive months
Setting: Outpatient only – Occupational Health
Patient Population: Adult employees only
Average Daily Volume: ~12 patients per day
Support Staff: 2 Medical Assistants and 1 LVN (support in transition; provider must be comfortable working independently as needed)
Work Style: Independent practitioner with remote physician oversight and collaboration with site leadership
Technology: Enterprise EMR

Job Responsibilities

Perform pre-employment and DOT physicals, injury evaluations, and return-to-work assessments
Provide urgent and minor care including suturing, wound care, and injections
Conduct blood draws, drug screenings, and surveillance testing per protocol
Manage documentation and reporting within the EMR system
Collaborate with leadership, safety, and HR teams to promote employee health and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine
Active Washington PA or NP license and appropriate national certification (NCCPA or equivalent)
Proficiency in EMR systems and occupational medicine workflows
Strong independent decision-making, clinical, and communication skills
Ability to work solo when necessary and adapt to a dynamic industrial environment

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
