Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide advanced occupational health care to our employees, focusing on injury prevention, treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, health promotion, and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.

Implement and manage occupational health programs, including surveillance, screening, and preventive services.

Collaborate with occupational medicine clinic managers and safety teams to develop health promotion strategies and wellness programs.

Participate in the development and enforcement of workplace safety policies and procedures.

Provide guidance and counseling on occupational health risks and preventive measures.

Manage case files for workers' compensation claims, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal requirements.

Serve as a liaison between employees, management, and external healthcare and safety professionals.

Conduct regular reviews of health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with current regulations and best practices.

Educate employees on health and safety matters, including ergonomics, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.

Participate in emergency response planning and management.

Qualifications

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of employment.

Master's degree in Nursing or Health Sciences from an accredited institution.

Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or similar is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in occupational health, emergency medicine, or a related field.

Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.

Experience with workers' compensation and case management.
