Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner will work under the Medical Director and under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Services to provide medical services to employees of our partner companies within partner company guidelines, practice standards for the state, and our company's policies and procedures to optimize our services to each partner company and future partner companies.
The following is a list of the duties for which a person holding the position of Nurse Practitioner is responsible. These are the duties but these are not limited, there might be other additional duties.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with job-related injuries or illnesses and complete associated documentation
· Order and interpret lab work and imaging
· Formulate treatment plans specific to the patient
· Medications/prescriptions
· Refer to physical therapy
· Set job restrictions/release job descriptions
· Aspirate and inject joints/tendons/bursas when indicated
· Splint/immobilize injuries when indicated
· Suturing/suture removal when necessary
· Complete documentation and supply notes to contractors and employers
Qualifications:
BLS certified
PA Nurse Practitioner Board Certified
NIOSH certified for PFTs
