Job description
The OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner (Women’s Health NP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered women’s health services to a diverse a population. Working in a collaborative, team-based environment, the NP delivers preventive, family planning, prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care while supporting the FQHC mission to improve health equity and access to quality care.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive women’s health services, including gynecologic care, prenatal and postpartum visits, and family planning services.
• Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning within scope of practice.
• Perform routine exams, screenings, and in-office procedures.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with North Carolina regulations.
• Educate patients on reproductive health, pregnancy, preventive care, and wellness.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and care coordinators.
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and population health efforts.
• Comply with HRSA, federal, state, and FQHC regulatory and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
• Certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with women’s health experience.
• Active or eligible North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license.
• Active or eligible RN license in North Carolina.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Active BLS required.
• Experience working in an FQHC, community health, or underserved setting preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a primary care setting functioning at the full extent of training and licensure.
• Strong commitment to health equity, culturally competent care, and community-based practice.
