Key Responsibilities

As a Neurology Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and management. Typical procedures and responsibilities include:

• Neurological exams assessing reflexes, motor strength, coordination, sensation, and cranial nerve function.
• Diagnostic testing coordination including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies.
• Medication management for epilepsy, migraines, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and neuropathic pain.
• Infusion therapies such as IVIG and biologics for autoimmune neurological disorders.
• Botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraines, dystonia, or spasticity.
• Patient education & preventive care including lifestyle counseling and long-term condition management.
• Collaborative care with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation specialists.

Requirements

• Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license
• Board Certification as NP with Neurology experience
• Current certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Strong background in outpatient neurology procedures and chronic condition management
