Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Schedule: 7 days/week, 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekends: Included in rotation
Duration: Ongoing locum assignment
Setting: Inpatient – Level 1 Trauma
Position Highlights
Role: Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) providing overnight neurology coverage
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to stroke codes and performing NIHSS assessments
- Conducting full neurological evaluations for consults and primary cases
- Supporting 10–15 patients per shift
- Collaborating with an on-site neurology resident
- Consulting with two attending neurologists available by phone
- Working within a Level 1 trauma center (no trauma experience required)
Requirements
Experience: Inpatient neurology or hospital-based APP experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
- Board Certified NP or PA
- Active NJ license
- NIHSS certification
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
