Mercy Health Physicians is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to join the Neuro Critical Care (NCC) service at St. Vincent Medical Center. This provider will deliver a full range of inpatient NCC services, working collaboratively within a patient-centered team. The role also includes facilitating patient access to care, recommending referrals, assisting in neurology resident teaching, and providing support across a variety of specialized departments including Neurosurgery, Endovascular/Stroke, and Neurology. Our department thrives on collaboration and is part of a larger Neuroscience network.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with residents throughout the shift
Manage the NCC service overnight
Cover neurosurgery consults from the ED
Collaborate with NCC and neurosurgery physicians on-call as needed
Qualifications
Working Hours
Follow a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts with four 12-hour shifts every other week.
Provide night coverage from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Skills
Patient cases include acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, status epilepticus, and post-neurosurgical cases, among others.
