Locums Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) – Wichita Falls, Texas

Assignment Type / Availability:

• Per Diem / PRN coverage
• Ongoing opportunity

Schedule:

• 24-hour in-house shifts

Practice Setting:

• Hospital-based – Level II Special Care Nursery (NICU)
• Working toward Level III NICU designation
• Neonatologist covers NICU & newborn nursery
• Multidisciplinary team: pediatricians, RNs, respiratory therapists, rehab services, neonatal nutritionists
• State-of-the-art NICU facility

Licenses & Certifications (REQUIRED):

• Active NP license (Compact accepted)
• Current APRN national specialty certification
• Minimum Master’s Degree in Nursing

Experience Requirements:

• Must be clinically active within the past 1 year

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide care for premature and critically ill newborns
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary NICU team
• Deliver family-centered care and support parents
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives

Facility Details:

• Level II NICU: cares for infants ?30 weeks gestation or ?1,250g
• Focus on stabilizing infants not requiring urgent subspecialty services
• Goal to keep infants close to families within the community
