Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Be part of a collaborative Neonatology team dedicated to providing specialized inpatient care for neonatal patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care to neonates in a Level III NICU.
• Perform neonatal assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of critically ill and premature infants.
• Collaborate closely with on-staff Neonatologists for patient care planning and management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with nursing and ancillary teams.
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation.
• Provide family education and counseling regarding neonatal conditions and treatment plans.
• Support stabilization and ongoing management of high-risk newborns.
• Work a flexible schedule consisting of 24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts.
• Practice within a structured, team-based environment (not autonomous practice).
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an accredited NNP program.
• Board Certified in Neonatal NP / NNP (by time of start).
• Active Michigan state license.
• BLS Certification.
• NRP Certification.
• Ability to work varied 24-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts.
• EMR experience (Epic preferred).
• Willingness to complete 3–4 month credentialing process.
• Clean malpractice and license history.
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Michigan state license.
• BLS Certification.
• NRP Certification.
