Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Be part of a collaborative Neonatology team dedicated to providing specialized inpatient care for neonatal patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care to neonates in a Level III NICU.
- Perform neonatal assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of critically ill and premature infants.
- Collaborate closely with on-staff Neonatologists for patient care planning and management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with nursing and ancillary teams.
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation.
- Provide family education and counseling regarding neonatal conditions and treatment plans.
- Support stabilization and ongoing management of high-risk newborns.
- Work a flexible schedule consisting of 24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts.
- Practice within a structured, team-based environment (not autonomous practice).
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited NNP program.
- Board Certified in Neonatal NP / NNP (by time of start).
- Active Michigan state license.
- BLS Certification.
- NRP Certification.
- Ability to work varied 24-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts.
- EMR experience (Epic preferred).
- Willingness to complete 3–4 month credentialing process.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan state license.
- BLS Certification.
- NRP Certification.
